Using Label Check in the Mobile App

Written by Cheryl Evans

Overview

Label Check gives you instant, on-the-go access to a searchable library of registered pesticide products, right from the TELUS Crop Management mobile app. This article walks you through finding and using Label Check on your phone or tablet.

Who can use this?

Label Check is available to all UK and Ireland users on the TELUS Crop Management mobile app. It covers regulated pesticide products only - seeds and fertilisers are not included.

💡Label Check on the mobile app needs an active internet connection to search and load product data.

Finding Label Check

  1. Open the TELUS Crop Management mobile app.

  2. If you don't see a Label Check icon directly in the bottom navigation bar, tap the Menu icon (bottom right) instead.

  3. From the menu, select Label Check.

  4. This opens the product search screen.

💡The bottom navigation bar shows your current section as its main button, so Label Check will only appear there directly if it's already the active screen. Otherwise, access it via the Menu.

Searching for a product

  1. From the Label Check tab, use the search bar to look up a product by name/MAPP

  2. Select a product from the results list to view its full details.

Viewing product details

Tapping into a product shows you key regulatory and label information, including:

  • Product name and type

  • Manufacturer/company

  • MAPP number (UK) or PCS number (Ireland)

  • Expiry date

  • Unit type and application type

  • Active ingredients

  • Hazard information

  • General comments

Crop-specific approval details (UK Premium only)

If you're on a UK Premium licence, product detail pages also show crop-specific approval details for each product, such as which crops the product is approved for, maximum rates, and harvest intervals. This additional detail is not available to Ireland users.

Good to know

  • Label Check is a reference tool for checking product information. It's separate from the Plant Protection Product Checking Audit Service, which is a compliance check run against a specific job. See our article on the Audit Service for more on that feature.

  • You'll need an internet connection on your device to use Label Check, it does not work fully offline.
