For growers whose agronomists are using the Gatekeeper Crop Recording system you can email the season's cropping structure to your agronomist allowing them to import it, saving them time and reducing the chance of mismatches in the setup. Make sure your agronomist is setup in Personnel and has had their email address entered first.

Emailing the Cropping

  1. Select the Email Cropping button from within the Cropping Planner Tab in the Fields Module.

  2. Select the Advisor from the drop down menu.

  3. Select the Business from the drop down menu.

  4. Select the Season from the drop down menu you wish to send.

  5. Click the tick button and an email with the attached cropping structure for that season and business will be emailed to them.

Importing the Cropping

  1. When the agronomist receives the email they should save the attachment to their local computer.

  2. In Gatekeeper they should open the Publishing Centre and select the Other Tab and then the Third Party Tab and then the Import Field Data button

  3. The File Format should be selected on ‘Third Party GK XML File’.

  4. They can then use the browse option at the end of the Filename row to locate the downloaded cropping file.

  5. Click Import once done

  6. Make sure the correct business name is in the Gatekeeper Destination data field and then click Import Data

  7. They will be taken into the Field Match screen as normal, no different to if the cropping came from a grower on Gatekeeper.

  8. Once imported the agronomist's cropping structure will align with the growers cropping structure.
