Grower migrating their own data

The migration process from Gatekeeper Desktop to TELUS Crop Management will transfer the entire business structure (Grower - Holding - Farm - Field) for

the last 5 years as well as transfer any soil sampling inspections that have been carried out during that period.

It will not currently migrate operational job records or intensive cropping customers who have field plots enabled.

Optional: if you have custom crop names these can be turned into Field Tags.

Migration is only available on the Main Business Owning Gatekeeper desktop site and not any secondary or additional sites. We recommend that all additional sites are synchronised and then prior to migration you synchronise the Main Business Owning site.

To initiate the Gatekeeper Desktop Grower to TELUS Crop Management migration wizard within Gatekeeper Desktop:

1. Select File from the menu bar

2. Select Export

3. Select Gatekeeper Cloud Export

4. Select A grower

5. Click the Login button to bring up the TELUS Crop Management login window

6. Enter your email address and password credentials and then login to authenticate the account that the data will be migrated to

Each business can be migrated only once. Should you have contract businesses then these will be included when a Main Business is selected from the Main Business dropdown.

Fields with zero working area will not be migrated so it is worth checking that all fields you wish to migrate do have working areas setup.

7. Tick the working area disclaimer message and the Next button will become available to click.

8. The Select Data section will allow you to migrate all fields groups or alternatively select the specific field groups within a specific season that you wish to migrate data for. Click Next when your selection has been made.

Validation will check the structure of your data and make sure that all the necessary mandatory elements are present, and the migration can proceed.

N.B Should the validation fail at this point you will be presented with a reason and can contact support to assist you in rectifying the issue.

9. Click Next upon successful validation.

This step in the migration allows for custom crop names to be turned into Field Tags and applied to the relevant fields in question. If no crops appear then simply click Next and move on to the next step. If crops do appear then you may want to match them to one of the Tag groups if it is relevant.

10. Once your selections are made click the Next button and the Export process will automatically complete.

11. Click OK and Close on the Migration wizard as your migrated data is now in the publishing centre outbox.

12. Finally click the synchronise button to pass the data to your Gatekeeper Cloud account.

When you log back in to TELUS Crop Management account you should see a red dot against your avatar with a number to signify the number of businesses that have been sent to you

  1. Click on the avatar and then on the Migration Status option to open the Migration Status window.

Here you can check the Import log to see if the migration of each business has been successful and clear the log entries once confirmed.

If for any reason the migration has not been successful, then please contact support and they will assist you in resolving this issue.

Finally, tick the complete migration tick box at the top of the window and then the green tick button to close the migration status window and start using TELUS Crop Management .
