Overview
TELUS Crop Management organises your farm data using Businesses and Holdings.
A Business is the top level of your account structure. Each business controls its own stock centre and product pricing, and keeps its own records for jobs, inspections, trading, and reporting.
A Holding sits underneath a business and is used to group your fields, typically by CPH (County Parish Holding) number in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, or by Herd number for holdings in Ireland, or to separate out land that's part of a contract farming agreement. Every holding belongs to exactly one business..
Fields sit underneath holdings, so the structure flows: Business → Holding → Field.
When you create a new business, an initial holding is automatically set up for it using the details you enter, you don't need to create this first holding separately.
If you manage more than one farm business, see Intra-Business Trading for how trading between your businesses works (available on Advanced and Premium subscriptions), and Managing Users: User Roles & Permissions for how to control what each user can see and do on a per-business basis.
If you're setting up your very first business, see Creating your Business for the full onboarding walkthrough, including how to import existing data.

Managing holdings
Holdings let you group fields under the appropriate CPH number. You may need more than one holding if your business has multiple CPH numbers, or if some fields are part of a contract farming agreement. Holdings are set up within a business, and each field is linked to a holding when it's added.
Choosing a region for a holding
When adding or editing a holding, you'll be asked to select a Region. This determines which field identifier you'll be asked for when you add or edit fields under that holding:
England, Wales, and Northern Ireland: Map Sheet/NG number.
Scotland: 12-digit Scottish LPID.
